ReOS - Customer Ordering Systems

Most electronic order entry today is done on old Telxon or MSI terminals. These devices have not been manufactured for years, are expensive to maintain and repair, and are becoming increasingly scarce.

Taylored Technologies offers four electronic ordering systems: ReOSsa, ReOSce, ReOSpc, and ReOSweb. Our non-web-based systems interface with our DataPort communications server software, allowing you to offer ReOSsa to some users and ReOSce or ReOSpc to others.

  • ReOSsa is our stand-alone system that utilizes a portable barcode terminal and a charging modem cradle. This application offers a number of powerful features for your customers including price book data on the scanner, multiple UPC field lookup, inventory, remote program updates, and more. • ReOSce is our full-featured system that runs on Windows CE barcode terminals. ReOSce provides all of the features in ReOSsa, plus extended sales history, suggested order support, top seller check, promotions notification, pre-order notification, and Bluetooth support.

  • ReOSpc utilizes any of the barcode terminals that we offer, and, rather than transmitting orders via modem directly to your DataPort server, orders are uploaded to the user’s PC. There, the order can be reviewed and edited prior to being submitted to DataPort. ReOSpc allows a level of control and functionality not available with non-PC-based systems. ReOSpc supports user-level SRP and gross profit percentage manipulation, specials and promotions, and a very convenient and familiar PC interface.

  • ReOSweb is a web-based ordering system that functions very much like ReOSpc. The advantage of ReOSweb is that all data are stored on a web server. This allows you to keep all data centralized, greatly facilitating data management. A complete order history is maintained on the server, allowing prior orders to be reviewed or replicated at anytime. ReOSweb can be configured to interact with a web server that you manage, or one of our web servers.
